About the Job
Organization Overview
The Dr. Ambachew Mekonnen Foundation, named in honor of the late President of the Amhara Regional State of Ethiopia, was established by his family and friends to preserve his legacy. The foundation’s primary focus area is education, aligning with Dr. Ambachew Mekonnen’s vision of creating a nurturing environment for the growth of women and youths. The foundation is dedicated to facilitating self-sufficiency among these groups by enhancing access to education and healthcare, with a special emphasis on promoting women’s empowerment. While the foundation is committed to advancing its vision, it recognizes that empowering women and nurturing the well-being of the youth should begin at the foundational level. Therefore, the foundation actively collaborates with middle schools, believing that true empowerment is achieved through early support and mentorship. The organization’s overarching mission is to uphold Dr. Ambachew Mekonnen’s vision by strengthening institutions, supporting communities, and taking strategic actions that positively impact women and youths.
